01 / The concept
Make the first note feel inviting.
Piano Room is a self-initiated website design concept by Silverside Web Solutions. Its fictional UK piano school provides a setting to explore how learning music could feel welcoming, expressive and interactive online.
The project demonstrates creative design and interactive development capabilities. It is an independent study, with no real school, client commission or commercial results implied.
02 / The creative direction
The Living Score.
Paper-white backgrounds, ink-black typography and vermilion accents give the visual direction a restrained, distinctive character. Oversized editorial headlines and an original architectural illustration create room for both expression and quieter detail.
The musical score becomes part of the experience: visitors can play notes and leave a visual composition on the page. The identity carries through responsive lesson pathways and the smaller-screen layout.
03 / The experience
An invitation to play, right in the browser.
An interactive piano lets visitors try notes using keyboard or touch controls, creating a visual musical composition as they play. Replay and reset controls let them revisit a phrase or start again.
A guided five-note lesson offers a small introduction to playing. Responsive lesson pathways, accessible FAQs and a demonstration enquiry experience complete the fictional school’s journey. The enquiry flow is intentionally simulated and does not submit real enquiries.
